Haven't seen depth like this in our prospect pool since... when? Pretty exciting. A defensemen or two in the top ten would be nice though.

Overall I can't disagree with the names in the top ten but I think Wotherspoon, Sieloff or Reinhart should replace Hanowski. Granlund is also listed a bit high in my opinion as well.
A much better prospect base for sure though.

Seems like we have a lot of small players. I wonder if the Flames lean towards size in the next draft to balance that out a bit.

From that list only Gaudreau is small, Baertschi is pretty average at 5'10".
Hell our top 3 centre prospects are all 6'2" or taller.

They kind of addressed it this past draft. I believe only Klimchuk and Glimour were only less than 6'. Everyone else is 6'2'' or taller.

Klimchuk, Baertschi and Gaudreau are the only significant players under 6 feet and the first two don't play like they're short.

Good read. He states Flames are ranked 10th in the NHL, which is very respectable for a team in the midst of a rebuild. Its very exciting as a fan to finally see the depth of the Flames' pipeline! Lots of potential but greater patience is required.
This is my list, pretty obvious (well to me at least) who the top 3/4 prospects are:
I put Sven at #1 just because of his AHL/NHL experience.
This is not a perfect list by any means but its a getting feeling to be able to list off Calgary Flames prospects for once.

The top 15 in that list is very promising. I say 15 because Ramage should rightfully be included. He stood out in my limited video viewings of the prospect camp.

I like the fact in the weakness section of almost all these players it said they need to gain strength. Thats easy enough to do with some dedication.
Really don't know how Gaudreau is going to turn out but one thing he does is that he always has his head up, which is huge so he can see a hit coming. You can be the biggest guy and try to cross the blue line with your head down and see what happens, ask Big E.
Looks promising. Next draft we target D.

I think Seiloff and Gillies are top 5, and Agostino is higher than Hanowski

I don't agree with leaving out Sieloff from the top 15, and Hanowski at 9 is a bit of a head scratcher. But other than that, it was a good read and a fair assessment. Not surprising though, Pronman is good.

Hanowski is too high on the list. Sieloff/Agostino should have been in the Top 10. Also, I would have put Gillies a spot higher than Granlund just because of what he was able to achieve as a freshman.
Best part of the article was how Corban Knight is described as an ace in faceoffs, lord knows we can use one in the lineup.

I agree Monahan is #1 I think he has more potential to be a franchise player than Sven. Also think Hankowski is not top 10 and Worthorspoon should be in his place

Agreed, Sieloff and/or Wotherspoon both deserve a spot in that top 10 over Hanowski or Granlund.

So the Flames used a 22nd pick on a guy with less promise than Hanowski? Kind of killed his credibility right there and while I'm not on the Poirier bandwagon he has to be considered a better prospect than Hanowski or he would be an absolutely terrible 1st round pick.

I don't much care for a list of players, really once you get past the first "group" it's basically a free for all. Enjoyed the write-ups though, more knowledgeable then most.

I agree with the consensus that Hanowski doesn't show NHL player potential like Wotherspoon and Sieloff do. My list:
1. Monahan/Baertschi
2. Monahan/Baertschi
3. Gaudreau
4. Knight
5. Gilles
6. Klimchuk
7. Jankowski
8. Poirer
9. Wotherspoon
10. Horak
Not sure if Horak has "graduated" the rankings or not but surprised not to see him mentioned as he is clearly smart enough for the NHL

Why should he tie his rankings to draft position. I don't really have a ton of time for this guy - but I admire the fact that he has the conviction to state opinions that are much different than the norm. If every prospect list was just a re-stating of where kids were drafted, it would be pretty dull.
