Default Christopher Nolans next movie to be filmed in and around Calgary

First Inception at Fortress and now this movie... Seems like Nolan likes us!

Cameras are scheduled to roll in and around Calgary — including the town of Okotoks — from August 6 to September 9.

The flood screwed them, they had planned to be filming already.

I'm curious what they're shooting here since it's supposed to be a Sci-Fi flick about time travel and wormholes.

1. Anne Hathaway is not an attractive woman.

2. Chris Nolan!

Really? How can anyone dislike Anne Hathaway? She's better than 99% of the actresses her age right now. In fact outside of say Natalie Portman I can't think of anyone better.

This movie should be amazing from all indications though. Spielberg was originally supposed to direct, and has been trying to make it for years now. But, he's too busy making a sequel to Lincoln, so now Nolan gets to direct instead.

Probably my most anticipated movie right now, as it's not a sequel, prequel, or remake. Just like Inception it's practically a new concept altogether, and sounds like the next truly great science fiction movie.

Pretty solid casting too:

Anne Hathaway
Jessica Chastain
Matthew McConaughey
Casey Affleck
Mackenzie Foy
Michael Caine
John Lithgow
Ellen Burstyn
Timothée Chalamet
Bill Irwin

Does Nolan hide Caine in his back pocket or something for whenever he needs him in a movie?

I think Hathaway has a lot of haters. She's annoying, she comes across as the definition of a pretentious actor.

She has some great tits though.

Oh sweet, anyone else want to go beat the **** out of Casey Affleck for his comments about our city the last time he was here? Little pretentious ****er.

Just for reference.

Quote:
"I'm a vegetarian and that's beef and cow country," Affleck told reporters while contrasting his experiences in Calgary and Montreal, where he filmed The Last Kiss.
"The whole town industry is oil, so there are a . . . lot of the cowboys up there doing like cow wrangling and horseback riding and also a lot of Middle Eastern people, which is an unusual mix. That was kind of the only culture I could find anywhere and lay my finger on, because otherwise -- I don't mean this in a bad way -- it's sort of very dull and kind of a dead town."

Affleck was amazing in Gone Baby, Gone. Don't care for those comments on his part, but after living in Hollywood for so many years hanging out here has to be a pretty big change.

When was that, 2006?

When I moved back to Calgary in 2009 is was much better then 2003 when I was here for a year. It's only gotten better from 2009 to now. Also, who cares.

Won't be long before we see McConaughey running shirtless on 17th Avenue.
