While I'm not all "anti-southern" teams, this is pretty embarrassing.

Wow, season tickets for less than $300 bucks a person ($600 for a pair), plus you get all those extras? That's nuts.

I can see where they're coming from I guess, because if an MLB, NBA or MLS team was in Calgary you'd need to offer me a deal this good to get me to even consider buying season's tickets.

Didn't the Dallas Stars do some thing similar to this last year? Maybe not for season tickets but $7 per game for a good number of season games with lots of extras.

Why? It's a pretty smart way to sell your least desirable tickets and get people in the door, where they hopefully spend more money on things that you markup considerably. You get more through this than having unsold seats for $20.

The sad thing is, the team still won't come close to selling out.

Insane deal. I'm guessing this is for nose bleed seats?

Its limited to 500 seats and is a smart marketing move. If you can get 500 people talking or excited about the season then chances are they will indirectly fill some other seats. I was talking to a player yesterday about his favorite places/least favorite to play. Anywhere with 5,000 people in the building was his least favorite despite being on the opposing team. Its gotta be hard to draw FA's and get the current team excited when there is nobody in the building.

It's such a small # of seats, to build future fans? or a few people in Canada with no life to entertain themselves. What's the problem?

I was thinking on going down to see the Flames game this spring. The tickets would be a little costly for 1 game...

I know a Panthers fan in Calgary who bought them. Why not overpay $100 or so for a jersey and get to say you have season tickets? Btw, they gave him a whole second set of tickets free. So $3.50 a game.
