They really need to stop having Berman do this.

Matt Garza is being traded to the Texas Rangers.

Interesting that the weasel accepts his punishment this time. I was actually hoping he'd fight it and implicate himself more, but there was probably a discussion with his agent saying they have X evidence, not to bother. In more recent years he's come across as an arrogant asshat, so I'm glad the commish is singling him out before the other hammers drop.

I like Grimm's upside, same with Olt so this seems steep for 2.5 months of Garza. I'd say worth it if they resign Garza but otherwise I'm not sold.
If the Rangers walk out with a Workd Series fine, but with their injuries they have to keep treading water with Lewis, Harrison, Feliz, and Tepesch out, of note Ogando is due back for tomorrow's game.

Someone mentioned on Twitter that Braun's lost pay would equate to 560,000 bacon grilled cheese sandwiches served at Miller Park. That's a lot of bacon.

Miguel Cabrera left the Tigers game in the 5th, sore hip flexor. Really hope he can DH instead of going on the DL.

Olt's value has really dipped the last little bit here and I am quite disappointed that the Rangers upped their offer because I heard late yesterday afternoon that the A's were closing in on Garza and quite possibly the favorites, at that time, to land him.
