Add me to the list that thinks Benn and Logan Cotoure should be on be on the team.

Iginla sure fell off the map here... kind of sad.

God our goalies suck. One more year, please Marty?

Jarome Iginla will be on the 2014 Olympic team and might be a good choice for the C.

I'm thinking Norris Trophy winner Subban should probably be there...

Over $1M for insurance may prevent on ice practice during the summer orientation camp.

Team USA has apparently said they will not skate at their summer camp

Crazy how Calgary Flames reject Marty St Louis has gone on to have not only a very successful career, but also such a long one. Good on him for beating the odds as a small player & succeeding in pre- & post-2004 NHL eras.

I'm not sure Iginla is even in the conversation as anything more than a token consideration at this point, nevermind the shoe-in you seem to think he is. They all get old at some point - no shame in admitting his time has come and gone as one of Canada's elite.

Not sure what all this Nash hate is all about, The guy has 7 30 plus goal seasons, last season had his best point per game season, the guy can wheel, and has a huge frame. What is not to like?

He has proven to be solid all over the ice, being plus 16 this season if you take out his first 2 seasons in the NHL the guy is a plus player, with a lot of those seasons being on a really bad Columbus team.

Not to mention stepan went from average 3rd line center in new York, to a point a game #1 center with Nash on his wing...

Please tell me what the knock is on this guy?

A little late to the party, but Bernier?? As a high profile first round pick he was never able to secure the number one job in LA. He's got an opportunity in front of him in TO but to think he'd be listed ahead of guys like Mike Smith and Cam Ward on Canada's depth chart is ludicrous at this point.

I'd lump him in as an extreme long shot with a guy like Dubnyk.

If iginla has a strong start to the year, he becomes a serious contender. If that strong start includes playing with bergeron, an even stronger contender.

But he has to be a league leader from very early in the season

And how come no one is mentioning James Neal?... I guess there's not necessarily room for him, but he deserves a mention
Neal is an awful hockey player. The man has some great talent, especially his shooting, but he has absolutely no tool box and his skating is nothing to brag about.

Simple answer is that there are better players to send ahead of him. As much as people are ripping on Hall in here a little bit, I would far rather send Hall than Nash on LW.

Who is everyone's dark horse picks for the team? I think that Mackinnon or Drouin may be able to crack the team based on speed and ability. I'm thinking Price will be the starter.

Beat me to it.

Switch the 2nd and 3rd lines and that would be my perfect roster.
1st line of Tavares+Crosby+Stamkos=unstoppable.
I really like those D pairings, but they will likely keep Keith and Seabrook together.

Also, anyone who puts Luongo in the starting spot after the last 2 years is crazy. Price for me all the way.

I wouldn't, if for no other reason than Nash is a huge body that can also skate really well. At the very least he would be a valuable checker and penalty killer.

I don't think that's all that true. He was a go to guy in Columbus in every situation. It is possible that Torts hurt his performance.
