No afternoon home games. The earliest home start time is December 29 against Vancouver at 4:00pm (which, I guess is technically in the afternoon, but at that time of year, at least it will dark out leaving the game).
New Year's Eve against the Flyers.

Lots of road games to start the season, no crazy long trips or home stands. I like it.

I'm not a big fan of only having 2 games to go to from February 1st till March 5th. Oh well hopefully the Olympics keep me entertained.

Metropolitan is bad, but still not as bad as the Big 10's Leaders or Legends divisions.

I wish our division was called the Lannister division, then we could send our regards all over the Four Kingdoms err divisions.

The road trips of 5 games is much better because its not crazy cross country. You get into a division and play them on a trip and leave. We have a California and Arizona trip ending in Texas all close proximity. Then we have a New York, Boston, Pennsylvania trip.
As per usual NHL screws us to end the season with a 5 game trip.

Metropolitan is weirdly out of place in that naming scheme.
Why do we have so many more HNIC games than any other western team?

Any good options for sport road trips to watch the Flames and an NFL game?
Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, etc

If you're thinking this because of the tweet it meant the Flames have 12 HNIC games and the Flames played the Oilers 4 times on HNIC and the Canuck twice on HNIC. Not that the Oilers only had 4 games and the Canucks had 2. I had to re-read it a couple times as the wording was bad.
edit: The Oilers have 12 games on CBC, the Canucks have 14.

Im a Titans fan, I was hoping for a viable Nashville Roadtrip. We play them once in Nashville, on a Tuesday, middle of January. Sigh.

Does HNIC really matter anymore now that all of our games are on TV?

I liked it better when our division was named after Kanye's kid.

I'm looking forward to seeing less of Colorado.
They annoy me.

On October 17th the Seahawks are in Arizona and on the 19th the Wings play the Coyotes and the 22nd the Flames are playing the Coyotes. 5 days apart for the Flames game but thats the closest Ive come so far. The Dimondbacks might still be in the playoffs at the point too. Im currently looking at October for NFL and NHL as I would like to see a baseball playoff game also, but if you find any other good dates along the season feel free to share.
edit: The Senators also play on the 15th in Phoenix.
