If anybody is curious, all purpose magnet tape sold at Home Depot and Michaels are too weak to set up a proper Neato barrier. Back to the drawing board.

To actually contribute to the thread: I've found more great music thanks to Rdio than I ever could have hoped. It's a total game changer.

I think we are all actually more interested in how you missed the mini-usb plug in.

Mine has a cover over it that's more or less the same colour as the shell.

3 Month bump.

The Neato XV14 is $50 off on Costco.ca right now, $250 seems like a damn good deal:

http://www.costco.ca/Neato-XV14%C2%A....10395744.html

I'm close to buying one but I've got a few questions.

1) The XV14 model doesn't seem to exist on neato's site, so what model is the costco model comparable to?

http://www.neatorobotics.com/product...botic-vacuums/

2) I mentioned this earlier, but because I have a 4 level split and don't want to buy more than one of these bloody things, I was planning on just buying one and moving the vacuum and the base to a different floor each day.. is it a pain to move the base?

3) Now that you guys have had yours for at least a few months has there been any issues with the battery, or does the thing not clean as it originally did or anything along those lines.

Costco experience is unique, go to buy some bulk cereal and impulse buy a bicycle.

Go to buy frozen pizzas and impulse buy a trampoline.

Answers to questions:

1) The colour of mine is the same as the XV-11, but with the pet and allergy upgrade kit off of amazon.ca, I think I have the equivalent of the XV-21 now. I don't really think there is much of a difference between models.

2) We live in a 2 storey. I just take the fully charged vacuum up to the second floor, or down to the basement when they need a cleaning. The vacuum will clean those floors completely and then head back to where I set it down and turn off. Then I carry it back to the base station to charge. Each of my floors are about 800 sq ft and it cleans them no problem.

3) I've only had mine for a month, but it still works great.

Here is a small review:

I've had my Neato XV-14 for about a month now (I bought it when it was $50 off). I ended up also buying the Pet and Allergy kit from amazon.ca for $50 as well. Well worth the investment. The new brush is MUCH quieter than the one it came with, plus it picks up my lab's hair really well. The floor is always clean now.

I would HIGHLY recommend this vacuum to anyone who has a shedding dog. I set it to go every day at 10am, and then empty the dirt bucket when I get home from work. Fantastic little device.

I owned a roomba for years, and recently bought the neato. This thing is super awesome, and WAY better than the Roomba. The Roomba is a glorified broom, did the job, but I had to spend so much time cleaning it's brushes of hair and lint. The neato is an actual vacuum, and because of this it handles hair much better, pulling it into the dust bin before it get's trapped in the brushes. All I have had to do for maintenance is empty the dustbin once and a while. It actually does it's job: cleans so I don't have to.

Also the Neato's laser guided system is far superior, where the roomba, constantly marked up my baseboards (the newer models are probably better I would hope). After owning one for a week, I bought a second for my other floor.

You don't like watching sports but you are on a hockey forum? Are you just here to spread the good word about the evils of dogs then?

NM I think I got this figured out...

4 Costco's..

Rocky View, Calgary NW, Calgary North, Calgary South. Looks like Calgary NW is my best bet to avoid the deep dark downtown streets of Cowtown.

AKA - 5 minutes out of the downtown core.

(That neato vac looks interesting, will have to look into it further.)

Bump.

Guys, the Neato Vac is on sale again for $279.99 at Costco. Regular price is $399. I just bought one (finally). Free shipping and handling, too.
