Newsweek poll puts Bush/Kerry in a statistical dead heat in the aftermath of the first debate.

What does Kerry pulling even with Bush have to do with child abductions.....which frankly I find joking about in any circumstance extremely offensive both personally and generally. :mad2:

That doesn't help me either....I don't know what an 'orange alert' is....frost warning in Florida?
Just tell me he wasn't making light of child abductions...it's something I take very personally.

Holy joke gone bad. I beleive he was talking about the Terror warning levels Dis. I am pretty positive he just must up the colours. The Amber alert is for child abductions, amber is a colour, and they use a colour coded system for the Terror Alerts.
I am pretty positive he wasn't making a joke at child abductions.

An interesting theory, but I doubt it. I'll take it.

Bush has Osama??? But isn't telling anyone? Why on earth would that be?
The biggest complaint about him from many is that he went into Iraq when he should of been focussed on the mountains of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He could be dispelling all that right now...and isnt according to you. He could be claiming that he was right all along that he is the right guy to be leading the war on terror because he got the "kingpin" of the evil doers.....but he is holding off.
Wow. Well, I for one hope he DOES have the guy. It would sure make things a whole lot safer around the globe. At least as far as financing goes for these guys....from what I understand anyhow.

It's funny how easily people are swayed by silly things like who looked better at a debate. Debates are nothing more than glorified photo-ops, and whoever the can be the better actor for the day wins. If people still don't know who to vote for, then they haven't been paying any attention to the issues so far. It's kind of scary to think they will base their decision on a photo-op.
These polls are also kind of meaningless. The only poll that matters is the one on election day, and the way this election is going, the person who scores last will win the game (just like in the NBA).

Have you been living in a damned Closet Dis? Holy Ignorant.
I'm extremely surprised you have not heard of the Terror alert system which uses a series of colors to tell you what level of "terror threat" there is in the united states.
You haven't heard the press conferences by Colin Powell solely to announce that they are raising the Terror alert level, but they can't tell you single thing because it is sensitive intellegence? Wow.
The alert Level has been between Yellow (medium high) and Amber (very high), since Sept 11 (since the inception), but not quite level 7 which is Red.

Think of it from the Otherside *TR*anny.
He makes Kerry look like a complete moron for telling him where to look and how to do his job - by finding him "somewhere else". Kerry also doesn't have time to really consider a counter stratagy when dispiting bush, this would catch him off guard.
I don't know how likely it is, but it might be possible.

Hopefully they don't...although I've seen some things posted here that approach that level of sickness. And MMF...the name is taken from a child who was abducted and killed in Texas...not the color.
I'm touchy on the subject..probably should've seen what he was talking about originally.
To that subject, however, I would ask the original poster if he believes that there is no threat of terror in the United States and that all the terror alerts since 9-11 have been the result of the Bush administration trying to manipulate public perception?

There is no AMBER level in the terror warning system and Colin Powell has never had a press conference to announce a terror alert....that would be left to Tom Ridge or John Ashcroft...sometimes both.
I'm the one who is ignorant though.
Amber alerts refer to child abduction moron.

I guess not, if I wasn't personally sensitive to amber alerts and all they encompass. This is where my thoughts were immediately taken...as opposed to another conspiracy theory.
That's not the case, however.
