Gore just got laid out by a Toronto defender. Gore is knocked out, what a hit. Lulay put Gore into a dangerous spot. Probably a little helmet to helmet but looks like the defender tried to let up a bit

That was an emabrssing effort by the o-line tonight in Montreal. Calvillos receivers couldn't find any open space and even if he did the defenders were on Calvillo instantly. Im not sure if its just getting djusted to a new playbook or what? I do feel like this wasn't a CFL playbook from the Alouttes tonight though.

Khalif Mitchell with a dumb 15 yard penalty to extend a BC drive, next play, in the end zone
Another snooze fest tonight outside of the big hits.

Why didn't the truth come a lot faster? First it was a mixed defensive signal that their were going to have change, then it was apparently something that Kris Sweet said that pissed off Dwight Anderson.
Quote:
"That's obviously been a highly-sensitive topic," Taman chuckled. "I actually sat down with Dwight on Wednesday evening for a half hour-to-45 minutes and I went over a lot of things with him. We had a very good talk and, contrary to what everyone's saying about him, he's pretty contrite about what happened. He's very disappointed in the second flag. He knows the gesture that he made but he'll argue until the cows come home that it wasn't a throat-slash. But it was a gesture closer to the neck.
|
Quote:
"Basically he was trying to indicate that the game was over but he didn't really handle it the right way. And he understands why that call was made and the fine was done but he was a little disappointed in the amount (of the fine) but my message to him was that we signed him to be a good player and not to be sitting in my office so I don't want to see him again. But we had a good talk. We obviously don't condone that and don't want it to happen again."

Also, Adam Bighill tweeted that nothing is broken. Someone on the Team 1040 says he'll be out two weeks.

LOL.... Let the good times continue. In all seriousness though I have to ask why?
The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the contract extension of Head Coach Kavis Reed. As per club policy, the terms of the contract are not disclosed.
“This extension gives us stability going forward,” says Eskimos General Manager Ed Hervey. “Leadership is critical to a young football team for success and I know our players work extremely hard for and are committed to Coach Reed.”

I did not read the whole article but i had to laugh when i saw the title on TSN site. I just don't understand what did the Eskimo organization see in this clown. Reed got lucky in his first season but after his decision making was a joke.

Looks ok. I still think it's far behind the new BC Place and IG Field though.

It should be. It's going to cost half of what IG cost, and one fifth the price of the BC Place reno.
It looks like it will be a massive improvement over Ivor Wynne.

Teams are on same sideline? Those sidelines look pretty narrow, just like the old ones, minus the steps.

George Cortez is watching this just licking his chops. Kory Sheets is going to go off something fierce next week, say for like 200 yards maybe.

Winnipeg is using their backup QB, Justin Goltz, as a wildcat QB and Hamilton has zero answer to it.

I rarely worry about PBP and color guys....but Rod Black and Duane Ford are nothing short of a debacle.
Black literally had no idea what was going on for about a 2 minute stretch there...blathering on about things that didnt happen or missing what did happen and then getting all excited about what was going on...when it was a routine play.
Forde then starts to analyze and cant spit out a single coherent thought.
Yikes ....it is just so...so.....amateurish.
