If the Leafs can get to OT of game 7 (a game most would agree they should have won) against a Stanley Cup finalist with an "AHL grade" defenseman getting the most minutes, playing in the key moments and leading the team in defensemen scoring then all the haters better lookout because that team must be super talented outside of Dion to make up for his AHL level play.
4 defensemen on the Flames over Dion? LOL
I know people have irrational hatred of him but sometimes it truly is funny to see the hate.

I heard that right at the begining of the reception, Dion walked up to the DJ stand and changed the music just to show he was in charge.

The only D I'd take over him is Brodie, and that's only because I think Brodie is going to be a star in 18 months.
Giordano has one season that's anywhere close to Phaneuf's middle of the road. Not one D on our roster can impact the game physically, to say nothing of their ability to do it at phaneuf's level.
Everyone thought he was the next great generational talent at the position. He's not. He is a number one D on a playoff team. Which means he doesn't suck nearly as much as you think he does. And he certainly isn't an ahl d. And when you say you'd take four current flames over him, you're lying.

LOL, I think if we could pick up Dion, we should. He isn't bad let alone horrible. I'm happy for him but I feel sorry for him because he's in toronto and he has a big contract. When he's making less on his next contract, teams will line up to get him.

He's not close to top 20. There are 0-3 d-men on 29 other teams that are better. The Leafs are trying to unload him, if the rumors are true. He is not an AHL d-man either. He has plateaued. Compare that to Subban, who improved his game.

While I don't think he's a top 20 Dman, don't kid yourself. If he were on the Flames, he'd probably be anywhere between top 1-4, depending on preference. Like a poster said, I'd probably take Brodie over him, and that's based on potential rather than actual current play.
