It shouldn't affect it. Metal won't warp or be affected by the freeze/thaw cycles.

Does anybody have this stuff? Or know of potential problems with the product?

We talked to the sales guy yesterday at the Stampede but I would like to back armed with a few more questions.
So Lets Talk About Interlock Metal Roofing...

Make sure you have a good underlay installed on top of the plywood, prior to application of the metal shingles. Also, make sure you have a self adhere membrane such as Ice and Water Shield installed at all valleys and at the eave edges.
The underlay should be 25 lb asphalt impregnated felt as a minimum.
Other than the possible denting of the shingles by extreme hail, the only other thing I would check out is the finish. What type of factory applied finish are they using (it makes a difference as to which type of prefinished paint system they are using). On commercial project, I usually specify something like Baycoat Prosectra Series or Vicwest Weather-X series, as a minimum. The problem you could have, with an inferior finish, is fading. It could be severe if you have something like a red shingle colour. Anyway, ask them what type of guarantee they have for both the finish (against fading) and for the entire roof (against failure, including leaks).
Also, expansion and contraction should be designed into the shingle system at the interlock, but it's a good question for the roof sales person.
