Just picked up a Fuji X10 as my travel camera. I felt like a massive dork hauling around a DSLR everywhere. Is this camera as good as everyone says it is? It seemed a little off putting to spend 600 bucks on a P & S, and I still have a week to take it back if I don't like it.

I do know the super macro mode on it is ridiculously awesome as I was fiddling with that, but I bought the camera after I heard a couple people in the know say "This is one of the point and shoots a lot of professionals carry." Opinions?

Looking for some lens suggestions.

I currently have the kit lenses:
Canon® EF-S 18-55 mm F/3.5-5.6 IS lens
Canon® EF 75-300 mm F/4.0-5.6 III USM lens

What would be a good upgrade? Basically looking for a better all-around lens. I picked up a fairly good quality 50mm prime, and I've found the picture quality is night and day between that and my kit lenses.

Rebel T3, if that makes a difference.
