Oh, so now you're saying that Seguin is twitter-a-holic?
Bit of a reach.....

Kane is known for stepping his game up during the playoffs, Seguin does not seem to have that same ability.

I would take seguin in a second. People #### up, and his is minor. Boston will regret it in time.

Hall's upbringing was basically middle-class Alberta for his younger years before moving out East for hockey.
My understanding is Seguin's family was a little more upper class in Toronto. Not saying that is the only correlation here, but Hall always struck me as pretty down to earth "yes sir, yes ma'am" type of kid.
Of course they all have a degree of ego, you have to in order to be a good player.
For Seguin I think it's all kinda over blown. Unless the kid is an alcoholic, it's just a young kid wanting to party a little in his younger years. Patrick Kane went through the same thing. I think the Bruins will regret moving him in 2-3 years.

Seguin's final tweet Sunday as he has shut down his account.
After repeated attempts by "hackers" to try to damage my reputation I have decided to shut down my twitter account for a while.
Jim Nill has called him into the principals office and will be sitting down with him.
So, what do the Stars make of all of this? GM Jim Nill said Sunday morning that he is waiting to get Seguin to Dallas on Monday so they can sit down and have a talk.
“My problem with social media is you just don’t know how much of it is true,” Nill said. “I think, as a society, we are trained to believe 100 percent of it is true, and that’s obviously not the case. It’s difficult to validate how things might happen, whether someone was truly hacked, or just what might have happened. I can’t go off hearsay, I need to ask questions.”

Nice to hear that Seguin's Twitter-a-holic anonymous meetings have paid off.

In Windsor and so far in Edmonton Hall has been a good kid. I also think maybe they gave him a little more guidance and help with how to navigate the new pressures and media attention, because he would have appeared to "need" it more than Seguin.
I'm actually impressed how increasingly mature Hall appeared to be, as his first year or so went on. His interviews were much better, he appeared much more articulate and thoughtful in his answers.
There were a lot of jokes/stories in Windsor about some of the stuff that he would say, a Drew Doughty type of thing.

Considering Weisbrod was in Boston for a season with Seguin there, played a large role in drafting him and likely still has strong connections there either this story about the Flames having interest is false or the stories regarding Seguin have been greatly exaggerated.

Nah, considering that Weisbrod was a collegiate scout for Boston and the draft was all about Taylor vs Tyler, Weisbrod likely had little to do with drafting Seguin.
Regardless, we've seen time and time again that when a scout or GM likes a player, he keeps tabs on the player and takes some convincing to change his mind. Even if stories about Seguin were true, it's quite easy for someone like Weisbrod to simply dismiss it as immaturity if Weisbrod really liked Seguin in the past.

Hall has took on a leadership role and is well respected in the locker room by his teammates. With Horcoff traded, it's widely speculated that Hall will be the captain this season and rightfully so. It's his team (he's the best player) and he does a lot in the community and in the room. Horcoff took Hall/Eberle under his wing in year 1. It will be interesting in Dallas because I am sure Horcoff will take Seguin aside and tell him to smarten up, and show him how to be a leader.

I feel the guy is getting a bad rap. He must have turned up at his party in the offseason & a drunken pal of his stole his phone & did the Twitter equivalent of a 'frape'.
Rumours are he threw himself a 'Trade Party'. Probably saying goodbye to some friends. I've had a few leaving parties in my day. They can go bonkers.
Glad we haven't inherited this sideshow though. I have a funny feeling Monahan will be behaving himself much better.

Are we making Hall into an angel now because Seguin parties too much? Lets not forget Hall two hand slashes people and throws punches at people in scrums when they're already engaged with other players. Hall is a hothead.

Hall is also an absolute moron when he is out at the bar. Not sure why everyone is claiming he is so mature, have any of you ever met him or seen him interact first hand? the kid is a complete prick.

I have heard that Hall is a prick out in public, being rude to kids that approach him.

I can only comment the times that I've seen him. Last time I was at Stollery's, he was by himself and reading to kids who had cancer as well as taking pictures with the families there. I know he donates his time to that hospital.

Are we done throwing ###### bag hockey players under the bus? Nothing but opinions on what hockey player is less of a prick. If I had millions of dollars, was 20ish, and had people coming up to me non-stop, i'd probably have some prick days as well.
Not every player can be full of class and accommodating. Deal with it.
