I don't think so Dwight screwed the lakers he asked for a trade from Orlando they took on a broken player did everything they could to get going and he failed like he always has and will. Then he screws us by leaving for nothing. Crying about not having his coach and crap, he's a coach killer, and a cancer in the locker room.

Enjoy playing ping pong with James harden and jermey Lin lol.

The lakers will recover.

How did he screw the Lakers?

They gave up nothing to get him and acted like idiots with the mi smashing if coaches they threw at the team including about the worst coach for him possible.

He hasn't acted great lately but he didn't screw the Lakers at all.

I would rather the Hawks get Pekovic then do the rumored trade with the Rockets for Lin and Asik unless the Rockets are giving us Parsons (unlikely) or at least 2 first rounders and Jones. Lin is terrible. Still with the signing of Millsap it looks like the Hawks will continue to be in NBA purgatory for the foreseeable future.

The most important thing is this is finally over. And I'd love to see what kind of rating a Rockets-Heat Finals would get. So much unlikeability, only Harden is likeable.

Yeah don't think Kobe telling Howard "Ill teach you how to win" is a good sales pitch.

Howard is a bitch and clown. He can continue his circus act in Houston.

Shaq has called him out.

Dwight had already played one year in LA and already had the chance to learn from Kobe how to win. Kobe's sales pitch sealed the deal for Houston.

Kobe needs to chill out with the Gasol pics, because if LA is smart they amnesty him or trade him and dive for top five while Kobe takes most of the season to recover.

If pao and nash stay healthy, they will be a playoff team before kobe is back.

I think the lakers sans dwight will be a better team. Put in a defensive center in who doesnt sulk over offensive posessions and platoon some role playing support players who can defend a bit and they will be fine.

Pao is a pretty good player, in case you forgot.

He's a great player. However, assuming Kobe comes back to be able to play like he did last year (unlikely), they still are the 5-6th best team in the west. Dump Gasol and tank the season and get a shot at a top 3 pick in what looks to be one of the best drafts ever or keep him and get knocked out of the 1st or 2nd round? They aren't contenders with the current roster even with Kobe, if they don't tank this season then their only hope is Lebron wanting to be a Laker.

Kobe might not even play. Worst case he opts out and leaves, which would piss off fans, but the Lakers would be losing a player who can't play up to his salary. Lakers need to rebuild now or pray for Lebron. Celtics realized it and will be back to being a contender in 2-3 years if they get Wiggins, Randle, Parker, or Harrison. The only way you keep this team together is if you know you are getting Lebron, otherwise you will be stuck in the same situation the Mavericks are now. Hoping to land big name FAs.

Kobe can't opt out and he won't be leaving.

Gasol won 2 titles with Kobe and is a better shifting to the 5.

Players with the same injury have taken over a year to recover.

I thought he had another year on his contract that was optional, i stand corrected. I wouldn't think he would opt out this year even if he could because no one would pay him 30 mil to possibly not play. Nash, Gasol, Kobe is probably not a top ten trio in the NBA now. Kobe was still an all-star last year but not a top 5 player anymore and who knows when he comes back from that injury. All I am saying if I was a Lakers fan I would be pushing rebuild. They only have Nash beyond next year (i think?). They can tank and draft a potential superstar, re-sign Kobe and pick who else they want in the FA world. Kobe can "teach" Andrew Wiggins how to be a champion.
