Yeah, I think a bunch of us talked about that before. He looks really good in a Bruins jersey.

Does it matter though, why would he even need a NMC? Boston's new division includes Buffalo, Detroit, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto. No way Boston doesn't finish top two in that division. Top three in the East next year should be Boston/Detroit/Pittsburgh barring major injuries.
I guess this means Hemsky won't be going to Boston either, which is good as that gives less trade options for Edmonton.

There's a weird argument going on here, if one watched the Chiarelli press conference post the deal imploding and felt there was no ill will, then I don't know what to tell you.

if i had to endure Iggy on the same team as dbag Cooke for 3 months, i want all the Marchand haters to have to endure Iggy on the same line with Marchand for 110 games next year!

It was in the heat of the moment immediately after finding out that Feaster wasn't talking to him because he was talking to pits instead. Chiarelli looked peeved, but moved on obviously - something which many posters here could learn to do.

Do you think they make another move for a RW or let one of Fraser, Caron or Knight battle it out? Fraser would get my vote. Pure sniper.

How do the bonuses work? Is the cap hit $6M even if he gets hurt, in which case he wouldn't get the performance bonus?

I was only cheering for Iginla. Don't care about the Bruins or the Pens honestly. The Bruins were my 2nd favorite team growing up, and loved them when they were pounding on the Canucks... but honestly besides the Flames I don't give a rats hairy behind about anyone else.
I will now gleefully homer it up for the Bruins, ignore Lucic and his inconstant ways, never make a comment about how hit or miss Chara was this playoffs and heap praise on Marchand for his dirty antics.
Go Bruins (Iginla)

I disagree. 6M is a lot of dough, if it was 2 or under I would agree.
Congrats to Iggy. Hope he does well there.

Not revenge on Iginla. He was upset about the way the Flames lead the Bruins down the garden path.

Funny how old men Iginla and Alfredsson (even Elias) cashed in today because they signed short term deals. Really wish the Flames would do the same just to trade the players at the deadline.
If the Flames offered someone like Jagr 5 million on a one year contract you'd have to think he'd snap at it (he has gambling debts to pay off!). Then trade him at the deadline for a pick, just like Nieuwendyk did last year with the Stars. He basically got a first rounder from Boston for paying Jagr for 30 games, pretty smart move even if it wasn't his main intention.

And as for the Bruins and the Flames, no matter how loud MMF crows about it, there are/were certainly ill feelings from the Boston side to Feaster (but never Iginla) about the way he handled the situation.

No. There's a long way from what browna said to what you're suggesting he said.
