I think the cornerstones on that team are kadri, jvr, gardiner, o Reilly and bernier.

Kessel, lupul, clarkson, bozak are all great supplemental pieces.

I think those are massive over pays though...

Decent deal for Bozak.

After hearing some of the rumours about what he would get 4 million is not bad.

Clarkson was going to the leafs all along, i posted that three months ago, his wife didn't like jersey and they have a home in etobicoke. He told anyone who would listen that he wanted to sign in t.o.

I'd say about 700K too much for Bozak. Not too bad considering the rumours.

The Clarkson deal is going to be laughable though.

These prices are crazy, i hope we don't sign any of these free agents, When we state that 4 million for bozak for five years is a good price then times sure have changed. A high of 18 goals in a season gets you 4 million a year.

The Clarkson contract couldn't have happened to a better team.

Problem is that they gave the supplemental players cornerstone contracts. How many elite players ever live up to the back end of their long term contracts let alone support players getting these long term deals. I just don't get tying up non-elite players for long term.

A 7 year contract that will see David Clarkson reach 36 by the time it's over? A player who's never broke 50 points that could be near 40M? Ouch.

Bozak's deal is decent.

Clarkson's cap hit is fine-ish, that term though, you really wonder if players continue to have that fire after they basically set themselves up for life.
