Local TV News talk
Which do you watch? Which do you hate? Favourite anchors? Horrible reporters? Share.
When I first came to Calgary 12 years ago, my girlfriend and her family religiously watched CFCN at 5 every day. Back then it was Darryl Janz and Barb whatsherface. Even though I'm no longer with that girl, I've continued on that tradition. The funny thing is though that if I want to watch news at any other time of the day (morning, late evening) I always tune to Global. I guess I like the rapport that crew seems to have with each other, though Scott Fee is bland as hell.
Global probably has the better collection of nice looking females too.

The best day in local news over the last 25 years or so was the first day after Barb Higgins got off the air. Bliss.

we tend to watch global - more out of habit than anything. I enjoy Nancy hixt, the gal who does that late night weather, the late night woman on CFCN (Carmella DiGussiepe?).

I used to love going on business trips in the US, because there are a ton of hot looking news anchors on the airwaves there. They get former beauty pageant winners for news anchors, we get homely looking arm biters here.

I refuse to watch CFCN because they obviously care so little about Calgary that they still use skyline shots from 1996 in their backgrounds #skyscrapernerd
Global has a much better production

I rarely watch the news, but if it is 11:00 PM, and I feel like flipping to the news, my instinct in Global.
