Didn't the Blues waive him?

5th round pick so not too bad but not sure where he fits in with that lack of size.

No, we're supposed to be trading roster players away, not picks.
Dang it, Feaster!

A D-man of Butler's calibre with some potential. Can't really complain.

Why did they not just claim him on waivers?

All the Albertans and all the NCAA players.
Seriously though I haven't seen enough of him to judge. Glad we got a Dman though.

Seems odd they gave up a pick but not worried about losing a 5th.
Seems like we have a big glut of players at forward, defense and goalie. There must be some deals coming to move them out or we are going to have a lot of guy sitting in the PB or playing in Abbotsford when they shouldn't be.

Not a huge fan at first glance. Small, weak, puck moving d-man that doesn't seem to put up enough points to be a power play specialist. Makes us easier to play against?

Kind of a weird trade since he's a 5'10", 172lb defenseman who shoots left.
Then again he is 26.

I remember a few years ago when the Flames were in the running for all the big name UFA's and impact deals on days like this...how times have changed. Not that this is the wrong strategy at all.
