I wonder what the salary considerations are.

Mac-T made a solid deal if there's no salary hold.

Yah solid deal by Oilers to dump salary. Doesn't matter what real costs are this is a cap deal that gives them options.
Good draft and solid trade so far by the new GM.

So Horcoff can be traded without taking negative value in return but Briere had to be bought out?

Larsen isn't stunningly great and really doesn't help them in terms of defensive zone coverage.
He's ok, but the Oilers still need work on the blueline

Moving out Horcoff without taking on any salary in return. Big win for the Oil. Damn.

Bloody hell.... MacT is really looking competent at the Helm of the Grease.. This does not bode well... How can I make fun if they do the right things all of a sudden?

Did you miss the many many report saying Briere refused to waive his NMC? Horcoff may have a bad contract, but he seems like a guy that is alot less selfish then Briere.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Stars needed another veteran centre and didn't push the Oilers to eat money in the deal. Both got what they wanted
No money retained!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Steal of a deal!

All that time on TSN must have taught him something. Damn you Bobby Mac!

I'd be surprised if the final deal is as Kypreos says at this point. Salary or a player or pick still going to Dallas imo.

Why is he selfish, he's raising his kids by himself and they're firmly settled in Philly?
Its not like they have a mother to stay with the kids.
