CKXL and QR77. He was the Sports Director and read morning sports on QR for years. He also anchored Stampeders pre & post game coverage...and I believe had a Sun column for a number of years.

He knew the coaches of my old ball team and used to come hang out occasionally and rattle off jokes and stories that would have everyone captivated and laughing for as long as he was there. When my coaches played ball with him back in the day he used to keep a notebook filled with his favorite jokes and he made long bus rides seem much shorter for everyone.

He was actually a cranky son of a gun around the house. As mentioned previously, I dated his Daughter a long time ago. Let's just say Bill had two sides to his personality. Still, he will be missed.
