Not a hope, time to move forward with rebuild. Great for us for the time he was with us but that is all history now

Ramo, Berra, MacDonald, Ortio, Broissoit. They're pretty locked and it's been said that they're happy going into the season with what they have.

I would if he had won the cup with the Pens. As it stands he needs to get onboard with another contender (Pens or otherwise) and continue his quest for a cup.
As things stand right now, I would almost rather the Flames avoid making a splash in the UFA market, unless the plan is to sign someone to a 1 year deal for trade bait at the deadline.

No they haven't and it still isn't going to stop the Flames from seeing what they have regardless of the optics Feaster tries to sell these players under.

Only free agents I want the Flames to go after are Jonathon Blum & Matt Halischuck

Yeah, he had a great season as a back up. I'm wondering if he is healthy enough to play as a #1 though. He'd be great to have if we still had Kipper in his prime. The other thing is he's got something of a reputation as a hot head but most goalies are a little different.

Lets just say I'm a player agent.
And I've got a guy who's 27. His career high in the NHL in 18 goals.
When force-fed 1st line minutes (even though he is in no way a first liner), on a playoff team, he managed to maintain a 20 goal pace for about 1/3 of a season. That's his best ever performance.
I'm looking for a $40m contact that carries him through to age 35.
The question is, what kind of anti-physchotic medication should I be using to control my florid delusions?

I wouldn't take Iggy at any price at this point. This team needs to move on.

That depends, are you talking to an organization who gave out a 28M 5 year contract to a player with a career high 58 points last year? Is that player now on waivers for the purpose of being bought out resulting in that player receiving 2M for every goal he scored under that contract?

With Emery walking from Chicago how much do you guys think he will get? I would love him in Calgary as an upgrade over MacDonald

I don't think the Flames should be concerned about goaltending at this point.
They have Ramo, Berra, Brossoit, Gillies, Ortio, and MacDonald. I would give this group of goalies some time and see if we have a gem.

As it stands, as you look at the contracts/RFAs qualified, the flames need for the organization, 2-3 on defence and forwards. That could be NHL guys, pushing young guys to AHL, or other organizations' tweeners, to make it open

Wild letting Matt Cullen hit UFA, I think I would let him take a shot in that mix of Centres with Stajan and Backlund. 'Post-Apex' player for sure, but one that would be good to keep the younger players around
