Scary. Hopefully they get to the bottom of the cause.

He's had a few concussions. Hopefully those are not causing them.

Perhaps related more to the extreme heat in the US and just a one time, freakish sort of thing.

I had a seizure once, 13 years ago. Very scary to wake up on a stretcher not remembering how you got there. Apparently it's somewhat common to have a single seizure once in your life with no serious underlying medical condition. Mine was deemed 'stress related'. Hopefully he's okay and it turns out to be nothing serious.

yeah, hopefully this isn't serious. Perhaps something lasting from a previous head injury, that would suck if this was the case. Not knowing the cause would be scary, here's hoping to finding the cause.

I believe he had one before when he played for Edmonton, no?

My guess is it's idiopathic (no discernable cause), but I'm no Neurologist

I remember being in the Mount Royal University Library this spring when someone suffered a grand mal seizure. He started yelling and groaning, and then he hit the floor. Scary stuff. Fortunately, others were able to help him pretty quick.

He had a seizure with his last severe concussion in 2006 when he was with Edmonton. It doesn't seem impossible that this seizure could be linked to the concussion he had six weeks ago.

He'll likely never play another game. Sad, but his health is way more important and he will probably realize that and retire or sit out the rest of his contract like Pronger is.

I just saw this on TV. I sure hope he's alright and can continue playing without problems. I'll be sad if he doesn't because I knew him a bit growing up and watched him from about 6 years old.

He was eating pancakes at Dustin Penners house.

Hope he has a full recovery.

I think it's a little early to go to this extreme. I've not heard any catastrophic language regarding the cause and/or recovery from this event. Perhaps we should wait for the results of all the medical tests before we start retiring Stoll. Geez!

Witnessed something similar at the U of C in one of the engineering wings right before a class started. 2009ish. Kid just fell over on his back and started spasming. Packed crowd standing around him, but no one knew how to help him..He got up and went into class.

That's scary stuff, hope for a speedy recovery. I've never witnessed a seizure but I know others who have and it's not a pleasant sight to remember. It's freaky.
