Ya it's fun for the first 10 minutes or so until you run out of things to do and you're basically forced to buy items to continue. I really hate games that are built on micro-transactions

My wife is hooked on the game. However, she's been able to build a thriving Springfield without spending any real money. We're on level 18 now, so there are a sufficient amount of unlocked characters right now, so there isn't too much waiting. It's more like a virtual pet game, it's something you load up every couple of hours to check on your characters.
Personally, I think it's one of the better games that uses a free to sign on, but includes premium content if you so wish.

I haven't spent a dime on the game and have a decent Springfield. The Squidport is an annoying quest that takes forever. Although will be cool when done.

Like I said I haven't spent a dime on the game, I have a friend that is probably around $200 in. I just don't see the point of spending money on it.

It's a good time waster. My advice is to pile up on the white houses

The only game I've continued to enjoy that's this type is Jurassic Park Builder.

I enjoy the game well enough. I like the variation of the story lines when the come up. Overall, I think the story writers do a great job. The addition of Squidport is great, but the boardwalk pieces take forever to earn.

I hate the donut currency. It is so hard to build up enough to get something decent, especially since it is so easy to accidentally use them. Given how often it crashes or fails to load or just takes five minutes to load, I would never put any money into the game.

Wow, those settings are in a convoluted place. It took me five minutes to find that. The UI designers missed the mark a bit on this game.

I remember looking up general Simpsons information before and "Simpsons Tapped Out" was one of the top searches...my reaction was similar ("So everybody agrees with me that The Simpsons are out of ideas").

I have this game, played it a few times a day for a few minutes for a while, collected a lot of the whacking day stuff, then let it go for a while. Saw this thread and started up again.

I too have not spent any money on it. I'm level 28 I think, just unlocked Lenny and Carl, heh. But my Springfield is pretty jumbled up and messy, I'm currently buying up land so I can make it more aesthetically pleasing.

I actually have a game on my phone I find considerably more fun. It's called D.O.T., Defender Of Texel. Kinda of an RPG/Fighter collection game. For those who remember the days of 8 and 16 bit gaming you'll probably love it. A lot of little jokes and humour about a land of war with 8 bit sprites. I was going to add another thread for it, but I don't want to bog down the site with a whole bunch of game invite threads. There are sites for that. If anyone here does play DOT or wants to give it a try, my username there is also Daradon and my code is S6fZ (case sensitive)

P.S. Noticed you can only add friends (Tapped Out) when you're on phone data, I couldn't get it to go through my wifi for some reason. I guess it could be a setting I have here, but I really don't think so, everything else seems to work fine.
