Just reading o twitter.

Kobe message to Dwight was let me teach you how to be a champion, I have learned from the best, not let me teach you so it fits you.

If Dwight wants to be a winner and get some rings you won't get a better teacher then Kobe. He's had magic Kareem, shaq and laker greats guide him. Jerry west was huge for him as well. Will Dwight embrace the challenge and turn his game around and become a top player and winner or is he going to run off to dallas or Houston and be a fool on the court.

My money is on dallas or Houston.

Woooooooooah. Brad Stevens is the new coach of the Celtics.

He was my favourite college coach. I'm going to miss him because I watch way more college ball than NBA. Seems like March became a little less mad today.

BOS hired a 36 year old cannon fodder coach. One they save money and two, it wouldn't be hard to fire him when the time comes. And Ainge said Celtics aren't tanking, what a joke.

Interesting choice.

I know Bob Ryan always says expected the unexpected with Ainge and I think Stevens is a very good college coach but this seems like him trying to be a little too smarter than everyone else.

Not sure what NCAA coaches do more with less than Stevens. Buzz Williams, Bob McKillop, Shaka? I'll take Stevens. Not sure why we would expect him to do poorly just because he has poor talent. You say cannon fodder. I say savant.

Coaching college is much different than the NBA though.

Yeah. I get that he never had an ego like Rondo on his team. That's probably difference #1. Also probably the highest risk of hiring him. As far as x's and o's go, I don't see much risk of him not figuring out the NBA.

Anyone know what Matt Howard is up to? That would be the best if they joined up again.

Just last month he signed with ratiopharm Ulm of the German Basketball league.

Everyone who isn't the Heat, Spurs, Clippers or Thunder should be tanking. This draft is absolutely stacked, the projected top 5 guys would have have gone number 1 this year easily. Wiggins is the prize but lots of very good players there. I think this is a really good hire, I think he's one of the best coaches in all of basketball.

NCAA is different from the NBA, Stevens was a great coach in college but in the NBA, can he motivate multi-millionaire players? Even Pitino failed in the NBA with his NCAA credential. And this squad of gutted Celtics are worse than Pitino's Celtics back in late 90s, the Celtics tanking next year is a forgone conclusion.

It makes sense to hire a young coach who should be relatively inexpensive and easy to fire.

Boston has put a greater premium on analytics and coaching, and Brad Stevens had incorporated them in major way at Butler.

The Boston Celtics signed Brad Stevens to a six year, $22 million contract, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

@Chris_Broussard: Sources close to Howard tell me Kobe's reported pitch in Tuesday's meeting about teaching D12 how to win will be a "complete turnoff" to D12

La la land won't get it their way this time around. It will be interesting to see what happens to Dwight then. Do they trade for a star?

IMO none of the teams Dwight goes too will ever be good enough to be a contender. Houston is highly overrated and I don't think Harden and Dwight cuts it. Dallas has nobody other than Dirk that can still play.

Howard is the greatest ever. He don't need no five championship ring Kobe to teach him how to win. He just needs someone to tell him how great he is and ever will be. I think I have a mirror just for that.

Chris Broussard is a hack reporter though.

Apparently Howard asked Kobe if he can really come back and be healthy.

Kobe told him that he was in a similar position to join a young team in the clippers but the lakers assured him they would get back to titles.

Yes it looks like this piece of garbage wants to go to golden state or Houston. Hopefully it's golden state and we can grab Harrison Barnes and klay Thompson and a 1st, will instantly make us better.

You're not getting Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson. One, but not both, and I'd guess its Thompson. Thompson and Bogut or Lee and a 1st would be my guess. Golden State would be making a mistake going for Dwight though, maybe they'll sober up soon and realize that.

Howard would be a curse to a historically weak franchise like the Dubs. If Howard could whine his way out of LA, what's stopping him from throwing a sissy fit when time gets rough in GS?

I think Houston is a win win for Howard and the team. Harden is not a spot light seeking star and Howard should be able to co exist with him there.

Apparently this will all (mercifully) end today. I just want Dwight to go away at this point, I don't even care who he chooses.
