Knight gets a "regular" number.... interesting.

Galiardi gets Gilmour's old number.... also interesting.

With 20 taken I figured Monahan would get 10.

I think he wore 17 for Canada at one point, maybe he goes for that?

Knight will more than likely be our 2nd line centre. Part of the reason he chose Calgary was opportunity to play meaningful minutes.

I sort of figured any resemblance to a number 10 on a Flames jersey would have been left in the flood waters or in a burning pile for at least a year.

Great numbers. I always thought 39 was a cool one.

I'd like to see Monahan take 19 or another traditional number.

Are they at McMahon or back at the dome? Man it's going to take a bit of time to get used to O'Brien in Flames jersey. Not exactly one of my favorite NHL players.

I believe it's McMahon judging from one of Steinberg's tweets.

Quite the projection for a guy who hasn't played pro hockey yet. Maybe we should temper our expectations a bit.

If you had to pencil in our top 3 centres I think the safest bet is that they would be
Backlund
Stajan
Horak

Horak can play wing as well so he's a bit of a wildcard but Conroy did kind of hint that they like at centre in some interviews.

Monahan, Reinhart and Knight are the unproven guys trying to jump in. Knight and Reinhart seem more like 3rd liners to me but I will admit to not seeing much of Knight ever.

Gonna be lots of competition there when you add in Jones, Street. If several of the youngsters impress Feaster may have to look at moving Stajan out to make room for them.

Two Jones' now...but no D. Jones and B. Jones on the backs of jerseys? Could this mean Hartley's best buddy Blair isn't going to be around this Fall?

I can't see Stajan going anywhere. After him, NHL experience is as follows:

Backlund: 170 Games
Jones: 111 G
Horak: 81 G
Reinhart: 11 G
Knight: 0 G
Monahan: 0 G

I don't know what's going to happen between now and the beginning of the season, but what I do know is that I want out 3rd line to be

Galiardi - Knight - Jones

For some reason, the idea of that line seriously gets me excited.

Are you sure it's not Feaster's partially developed basement?

This whole scene is surreal. The room looks like a classroom from 1985. The players are dressed in flip flops.
