I think the comparison to Chromeo is a little harsh, at least imo. The quality of the sound is incredible. There's no doubt they are going out on a limb with this sound but it's one I really enjoy.
I guess the only thing missing from this albumn is the whole robot/human interface that they've been playing up for the last 15 years. It feels like they have abandoned it with this new LP.
Either way, there are 4 tracks that I really really like. I would say this albumn has met my expectations as what will be the best release of 2013.
edit: Homework, Discovery, Human After All and Alive 2007 are probably the 4 best albumns I've ever heard. Alive was incredible......
