Can you have Nenshi tactically nuke the Beacon Hill power centre? That is the worst place on earth.

There is a plan being put together now about that funding. Remember it's annual funding, not one time.

I think they are expecting the service to be back hopefully next week. As far as I understand there is no elimination of the fee. Sorry.

Third floor counter at the Municipal Building and Development and Building Approvals are pretty much fully up and running again. You should be able to get done what you need to get done.

This might be too early to ask but is there a rough estimate plan on when certain city paths might be repaired or are estimated to do so?
For now I am specifically thinking the Beaver Dam Flats bridge area. Thank you.
I am guessing it wont be for a while but I took a walk trough the path system and there has been recent work on cutting trees and making a path through. The bridge was completely wiped out at Beaver Dam Flats so just wondering if its on anyones radar yet. Thanks

I don't know timelines for restoration of various pathways, but I know it's very much on Parks' radar for the recovery (pathways are their responsibility primarily). The very early estimate on parks restoration was $17.6 million. I'd expect at the end of the day, this number will rise. A lot of parks (Bowness for example) had crazy amounts of damage done.

For those homes in bowness who lost half of their backyard to the river does their property get reassessed and property taxes significantly lowered since they lost half of their lot?

They're figuring out the overall assessment situation with flooded properties. In theory, properties are assessed in value "as of July 1st" which presents an interesting situation this year.

Yeah, no kidding. I wonder if argument "the market value of my evacuated house full of water was extremely low on July 1st" will fly when challenging next year's assessments.

Has there been any word on what the 52 million is going to be spent on?
I know the vote was supposed to be the week after the flooding, but of course all the flooding damage and stuff put the vote off to the side.

$250 million in infrastructure damage to the city. I'll give you two guesses.
