At the very least, Bickell is 2 years younger than Jones and is a proven playoff performer now. Some players just do better in playoff situations. And despite being 2 years younger, he has only played 52 fewer games and has a similar ppg average (0.41 vs. 0.46).

I think both contracts are pretty bad, but Jones is probably a good comparable.

Bickell replaces Bolland in chicagos cap and Shaw replaces Bickell as the energy guy. So they had the space to do it.

This contract will never be a good value contract though. Alot of money for a guy who needs to play beside talent to produce.

Bickel is only as good as his line mates. This is a bizarre contract, I hope he doesn't crack 40pts again. Appalling what agents can do with a good playoff run.
