We could trade him at the deadline... But I am afraid he'd buy us too many wins to begin with. We have a logjam in net anyway, so I don't even think Feaster should be considering looking for a new goalie; or else what was the point to begin with in trading for Ramo/Berra?
Tim Thomas is still in mind, an elite goalie. Hoping Calgary bites.
No. No. 1000x no.
He seems like a rattlesnake in the room and doesn't fit into the rebuilding mode that the Flames are in. We need to evaluate our goaltending talent to see what we have. We need to know if we have an NHL calibre goalie in either Ramo, Berra, or Ortio. If we do, that is wonderful. If we don't, we need to find one elsewhere. We won't know until we see them play and play on a regular basis.

I also cannot see how this could possibly help us.
If we sign him and he performs well, we lose draft spots.
If we sign him and he performs not so well, we win draft spots but lose opportunity for our younger guys to play.
This would not be a step in the right direction for the rebuilding flames.
I doubt we will sign him but I would be happy if we did. We could sort of pitch it as a place where he could showcase himself. If he returns to previous form, he's the type of player that can get a great return at the deadline.
Why does people want him in Calgary? Come on.. That just would mean you'd be pushed 1 more year to see Rämö/Berra/Ortio in action? I think next season is the perfect season to see which one to go with or not to go with.
