Rate the 2013 Draft
If a Mod could make this a poll, that would be great.
In the meantime, what do you rate the Flames' 2013 draft on a scale of 1-10, ten being the best?

9/10
I liked all the first 3 picks ( I have warmed up to Poirier quickly ). Didn't like the Kanzig pick. Don't know to much about the other players but overall, I think it's an awesome draft.
So pumped for Monahan especially.

It's a 9 solely based on the first round alone. We got some really good prospects and a pile of em. Good day. I want some trades now.

Really, Really like our 22, 28th picks, Wasn't a big Monahan supporter because I really wanted Nishuschkin to play for the flames, but Now that they are all part of the flames organization, I am fan's of all of them and hate everyone else drafted haha

Pretty hard to rate this draft right now. I feel like it was solid overall. As one of the most important drafts in Flames History? Well that is a question we will revisit down the road.

We got Monahan, a speedster, a giant, lots of size and talent, and a Rushan...
9 out of 10

I'll rate the first round 9/10. Love all the picks. Even the Poirier one I've grown to like the more and more I read about him.
As for the other picks. I honestly don't know. The Kanzig pick is a bit of a head scratcher. The other picks seem okay from the very little I've read. Can't really rate them.

Admittedly, the only two I've even heard about are Monahan and Klimchuk, and I'm pretty happy with those two....so I'm hoping the Flames scouts did their job equally well with the rest of them. Not crazy about the Kanzig pick because the ceiling there seems really low, but I guess we'll see.
Either way, it will take more than this draft to turn the ship around. Can't wait till Draft 2014. Onward and upward!

So early. But my uninformed impression is about an 8. Liked 1-2-3-5, others were less appealing, but I don't hate any of them.

First round i give a 9.5 out of 10.
For the rest i can't give it a # because the only player i know was local boy Kanzig.
All that mattered to me was they didn't screw up the 1st round and they didn't.

Glad they kept the picks. Monahan is the key. 22 and 28 picks are okay. Overall 7/10 but it will take at least three years to get a better feel for how they faired.

I believe in the Jays.

We kept all our picks, didn't draft a goaltender, got the potential #1C... that's a win. Was fine with all the picks (except Kanzig) I'm quite satisfied. Call it 8.5/10.
I kind of feel bad for Morgan Klimchuk... having to be the guy that people will look to continue the Nilsson - Nieuwendyk - Iginla genealogy.
