Wow this sucks for the Flames to not have anymore picks for a while.

Overall pretty happy, wanted Shinkaruk instead of Poirier. My personal belief is Flames wanted Mantha, but he was off the board. Be interesting to see the Poirier vs Shinkaruk threads in the next few seasons.
Could have had Monahan, Shinkaruk, Zykov. Would have made a decent line.

You "retort" was...succinct? Maybe your response this time will be better?

Go back and read through the comments and then argue that most weren't overreactions.
Your 'analysis' pointed out the obvious while ignoring the other side of the issue—most of the people whinging about the picks have done nothing to earn respect.
Succinct is all that is needed when you offer nothing of substance.

Could the NHL get someone older to work the podium next year?

still 18 picks until we select again ... sigh. Interesting guys still on the board: Heatherington, Duclair, Lodge, Bailey, Fasching, Bjorkstand, Roy, Baptiste. Doubt that one of those makes it to 67, though.

Oh my god you two! Either make out and get over with it or take it to PM.
Not singling you out over oldschool Seoul, just the most recent quote.

I'm happy with the results of the first round. A little disappointed that they didn't get a defenceman, but all of the ones they wanted were already gone by the time they drafted at 22, so not much that you can do about that.
Monahan, Poirier and Klimchuk is very solid. We're better today than we were yesterday, no question.

So Flames are pretty much done for the day eh? Some late picks and that'll be all she wrote. Was hoping for a trade or something, but I guess that's wishful thinking considering our lack of moveable assets.

I'm not disappointed with the fact that Calgary didn't draft a d-man first round. How many of those do the Flames still have?

67th pick coming up pretty soon. Could be a cool player in a deep draft year.

Well for all the CPHLers out there, two of my picks went significantly later (worse for me) and two went significantly higher. Very interesting.

Certainly, some of the posts were over reactions. However, the point was raised in response to your assertion that "you never criticized" other posters. Again. Incorrect.
Back to point, RE: Feaster, the expectation of some is that he should not be criticized, whereas I believe that respect should be earned by a GM by actual moves or decisions. And what, pray tell, is this metric for respect that posters require before they are allowed to level criticism at the Flames organization?
And what substance have you offered? The notion that people should not criticize decisions if they are somehow not imbued with what you deem to be worthy of respect?
And exactly who are you to critique others?

yeah it's always interesting. My 3rd pick in the draft (Marko Dano at #54) was actually the 1st of them to be drafted today (at #27), Tristan Jarry also 18 spots higher than where I picked him. Crazy stuff.

Lehkonen is a fantastic pick at this point in the draft. Seems like the small guys are undervalued this year.
