Hoping Hartman is still there at 28.
You know I'm just about done with the, "our management is smarter than you and the general consensus" crowd, player could be a great one but when a player hasn't got a sniff from team canada at any age group and isn't in anyone's top 30, asking the question why we didn't trade down is legit.

Well I hope now the rumours about him being a wussy db are true, perfect fit for the Nucks if so.

It's smart to look for players that are making big improvements in their game.

NHL Draft Profile: Emile Poirier
By Kristyn Repke - BlueJackets.com / CBJ Today
Emile Poirier took the second half of this season by storm for the QMJHL’s Gatineau Olympiques. He led his team to a first round upset of Rimouski Oceanic in the Memorial Cup, but lost to the eventual champions from Halifax in the second round. He also posted 70 points, with the majority coming during the home stretch of the season.
Though he has an awkward skating stride, Poirier has had his share of breakaway goals thanks to his quick reaction and pickup speed. His ability to walk around defensemen with balance and ease creates offensive chances. With his quick puck handling skills and breakout speed, Poirier is a player a defenseman can’t leave alone in the zone.

I loved Shinkaruk 90 seconds ago but now he's a Canuck so I hate him and he's terrible.

They have their own list. Do you want them to start revising their lists based on media speculation? They have to trust their scouting department.

I have a laptop with intertubes and youtube. Sign me up Flames - I know more than your scouting network.
