I would be curious if anyone recalls Pierre's past 'steal of the draft' picks
How is his track record?
He was right when he was harping about Parise, I'll give him that

I remember him claiming karlsson was a huge steal when Ottawa drafted him as well.

He was upset with the Flames for passing on Maatta.

Would you prefer the Flames completely avoided statistical analysis and video scouting? Seems like they are smart to get the most information they can in order to make informed decisions.
I think the internet gurus who rely completely on advanced statistical analysis and very little on watching the players play are out to lunch. But ignoring it completely seems pretty silly.
Paranoia is right. Since when is more information to base a decision on a bad thing? Some of you guys complain about the silliest things.

You missed what I was doing. I was feeding the paranoia of a couple of posters in a joking way.
I don't know how valid PUCKS is or how much Feaster follows it's philosophy and results but I think ignoring any tool in making good decisions may be a mistake.

In the NFL, it's HUDL, though I was really hoping it was BALLS.

He also lost his #### when the Isles took Robert Nilsson over Zach Parise at 15 in 2003. He was definitely right about that one.

He also went nuts in 2004 when Lauri Tukonen was dropping to the 11 spot...I remember him being angry that Florida didn't take him. Olesz maybe didn't pan out that great, but he outproduced Tukonen by a big margin.

Screw Pierre's opinion. I'm just super nervous that the Flames make that Philly trade or trade 6th overall for later picks.

Or trade for 5 using all three first rounders to do it.

Ya, I really want the Flames to just draft at 6th, no trades. But we will see, I guess if both Monahan and Lindholm are gone by 6, then what do they do? Pick Nurse?

If Monahan and Lindholm are both gone by 6.... you do not draft Nurse, because it means one of MacKinnon, Jones, Drouin, Nichushkin and Barkov are still on the board.

If Monahan and Lindholm are gone then take Seth Jones, or Barkov/Drouin

In order for that to happen, one of Jones, Drouin, Barkov, or MacKinnon is still on the board. In that case you take that player and walk away ecstatic.

I don't think both will be taken, one of those is guaranteed to be there, if they are taken, one of the top 4 will be available.

I hope everything with the #5 pick is on hold to see if Barkov drops to that spot.
If Barkov is there at 5
-Flames trade #6 + #28 to Canes for #5 and get Barkov...YES!!!
If Barkov is not there at 5
-Flames trade 6 and Gaudreau to Bruins for Seguin
OR
-Flames trade 6 and 28 to Sabres for 8 and 16
-Draft Monahan/Lindholm/Nurse/Horvat at 8
Any of those scenarios makes me a very happy fan today.

So what you're saying is, you don't want the Flames to draft 6th.
