If you can stomach Sportsnet, their stream isn't blocked by region. I'm in Australia and that's what I did for tradecentre. Had that stream open with TSN open on another page.

Also, for those that have gone to post-secondary back in Canada, I've found out recently that some schools offer a VPN to students (and alumni? My login still works) and having that running bypasses blocks. I still haven't gotten the TSN stream/video player to work however but all the Canada only highlights do.

I used Sportsnet at the trade deadline too, but I'm pretty sure the draft is only on TSN.

Oh, well that sucks I'm going to have to figure out how to make the player work then... anyone else have issues with it not loading in Chrome (and just showing a black screen?)

Edit: NM, figured it out. It was my adblock that was doing it.

Valentin Zykov apparently had yet another interview with Calgary this weekend, which is always a positive sign and shows that the team is most definitely interested in selecting him.

If we came out of the draft with Seguin, Zykov and Morrissey I would be blown away.

I assume the draft is going to be on the NHL channel for those of us in the US?

EFF YEAH!!

I'm back in North America, and I'm gonna watch something hockey-related during normal waking hours!!

Even Jay Feaster's draft record, and the sense of impending doom that it inspires, can't ruin this buzz!

I'm really torn on this one. Reeeeaallly want to watch the first round, but it'll be on at the unholy hour of 4 am here.
I suppose I should just brew an extra cup of coffee and tough it out. Work's gonna be brutal tomorrow, so don't let me down Feaster!

Hopefully he's still there at 22 for us ... but I think he'll be gone by then

Big day for the franchise.

Whatever they do, I hope we fans can come out with something tangible to be happy about. Feaster has had this pattern of doing things that require a squint to see the ray of light, often times when there isn't actually one to be found.

I will be happy if we have a young center to be excited about by the end of this (lindholm, monahan, barkov). I would also be satisfied if the flames avoid all the big name wheelin and dealin that is rumoured and just use their first rounders. Imagine having 3 more baertchi type prospects to be excited about come camp!

I just read that the entire draft is handled today. Is that the case? It'll be brutally long.

Could see the Flames trying to package 22+ 28 to move up for Zykov.

Will be listening to the draft on Sirius 207 with my son at my side while driving through beautiful Western Montana on a trip that has no return date. I am coming home to stay. What could be better?

This guy says this re:Zykov

ISS Rank: 16

Craig Button Rank: 37

FC Rank: 19

McKeen's Rank: 32

Pronman Rank: 19

Hockey News Rank: 31

Average Rank: 26

Personal Rank: 16

Zykov is a player that will likely be selected somewhere between 15-30 in the June 30 draft. He probably isn't a player that I would trade up to acquire, but I wouldn't hesitate to select him 25th overall presuming nobody more tempting drops that far. It must be noted that Craig Button compares Zykov to Michael Ryder. This isn't a comparison that I would make, wrist shot aside, since I see Zykov as a harder worker, a better defensive player, and more of a power forward than a pure sniper.
