40 to 50 would be nice , 25 to 35 is realistic but I'm banking on a 25 G 37 A 62 PT season :P

I would disappointed if he scored fewer than 40 points. He is still technically a rookie, but he was a high pick who is going into his third training camp and has a full year of pro experience. Hopefully he comes through, I think he will.

Depends who is on the team next year and where they play. If Cammi is put back on LW i would guess that Sven plays 2nd line. Also depends if he gets 1st line PP. Not sure who his center would be?

My guess with what we got now he would get 30-35 points.

If he gets 1st line, 1st PP, and Backlund takes that next step, i could see him getting 45 points.

If he has a great season, stays healthy, and gets a load of PP time - 60 pts would be a very optimistic outlook for him. Really depends on how Hartley utilizes him this year.

Conservatively, I would pencil him in for 40 pts. A touch under 20 goals, a touch over 20 assists. Still eligible for the Calder, and he will probably be in those discussions, but perhaps won't be a finalist. He does have an edge on all the other rookies coming in this season having played a number of games in the NHL already, however.

I too think around 20 goals and 40 points over 82 games with decent ice time is realistic. Kind of hard to project. There's not a whole lot of talent for Sven to play with and rookies tend to hit a wall and go in a slump during the season.

93 goals 124 assist. Anything short of that and he's a bust.

I don't care how many points he puts up. That will come down to opportunity as much as anything else. I just want to see progression from last season, progression through out next season, and him improving his consistency.

But to answer the question I think 40 points is a reasonable projection. I also don't think it would be unreasonable for him to put up 50 to 60 points and challenge for the Calder. He managed a 0.5 PPG pace with a poor start and limited ice time last season. He knows what to expect this season and will get lots of opportunity with Tanguay gone.

That said, I won't be super disappointed if he produces at a 25 point pace and ends up in Abby either as long as there is progression.

15 goals and 30 assists is pretty fair as I'm just not sure if Hartley will give him top 3 ice time. Hartley really only started giving Sven a lot of ice time when the team was trying to tank and IMO when the games count at least early in the season he will go back to veteran players. Also I'm not sure if he's physically mature enough and will see if he can get stronger in the offseason as he wasn't strong enough last year. I think his breakthrough season is still a year or two off.

12 goals and 25 points. I think he spends most of this season getting pushed around and being frustrated on a bad team.

Expectation, 15/25.. 25/30 would have me ecstatic. The tangs deal and the acquisition of Knight have given me the impression management is trying to create space for Sven and friends to have some fun with it.

Barring a complete meltdown on draft day, this will be an increasingly more entertaining bunch to watch than we've seen for a while.

I think in the area of 30 points is a realistic expectation and a result we could all be happy with. If he goes upwards of 40 I would be very impressed.

Under 35 would be disappointing, over 50 would be great. Depends a lot on who he plays with and what the top 6 looks like overall. (I expect it to be pretty bad.)

Baertchi is not going to be carrying lines by himself at this point.
