I love every Flames pick within a few minutes of it being made...Baertschi took several minutes...I don't recall whom I wanted the Flames to pick...so glad they picked Sven, though.

I remember BUF picked the guy I wanted...I think he was a Finn...anyway, the draft is always fun and will be much more so this season with the 3 early picks.

EDIT - it was Joel Armia, and Sven looks much better thus far

I wanted Armia too, but I warmed up to Sven pretty quick and am glad we took him obviously. I'm still not thrilled with Jankowski.

That kid has head screwed on right. It is so refreshing to read comments like this. He knows what he wants and is willing to work for it. 18, almost 6'4 and over 190 pounds, he is looking better and better. 2015-16 should be a very exciting year for the Calgary Flames as Jankowski will likely be stepping up to join the three guys we select this year to improve the team.

Just imagine when Jankowski is 6-4 235. If his skills develop as they have been, we could have a good 1st/2nd line center on our hands.

By the sounds of that article, Nemisz won't be re-signed. I thought he would be for some reason.

Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug now Feaster says they would consider it a factor if the player they wanted at six wasn’t going to come over right away.

So much for Lindholm being drafted at 6

For pete's sake, would the Flames brass make their mind up on this? We've heard Feaster and Weisbrod both make contradictory statements about the need for the prospect drafted at 6 to play right away.

All Feaster is saying is it's a factor. I don't think they would skip over a guy like Barkov if he's gonna stay in Europe next year.
It could however help them decide between Lindholm and Monahan if they have the option of both (assuming they have them rated close to each other).
