You are right Gio is going nowhere. Feaster bascically said he was the unanimous choice for next captain during the exit meetings. The posters that propose he is trade bait are the people that want all current vets gone. While I do t disagree that no one over 21 should be untouchable I think there is little to no chance Gio is moved/shopped. He will be a flame next year more likely than not he wears the C

Whether he is in line to be captain or not I am sure he is available.

I didn't see it anywhere here, but I caught it on the ticker while watching a little baseball. Jagr, Ference and Pandolfo told they would not be re-signed by the Bruins during exit interviews.

I hope you are right but I think you are wrong. It will take a team that is very proactive and aggressive the get Feaster to listen. I would think there is next to no chance he is shopping Gio around the league

Fully agree. He might be getting calls for Gio, but it would take a big overpayment for Feaster to trade him this summer. I like Gio, but i dont see him as a player that other teams would overpay for him in a big way.

A big over-payment is just what the doctor ordered for this club

they haven't qualified him yet. They have until July 2nd to do so. Poile says the Preds are exploring options, including trading him

I wonder if Jagr would be someone that Feaster looks into signing. I hope he is. 1 year term, 4.5 million should get him here (and he always stated he would love to play in Canada once in his career). Flip him at the deadline for probably a 2nd (maybe a conditional first again?). Not like Calgary has depth on the right side.

Besides, I have always loved to watch this guy play. What do you guys think? He seems to be pretty good in the locker room now, Horak and Hudler would love him, and he seems to have a bit left in the tank yet.
