Who knows maybe it was perscription meds, psychadelics or something they don't test for I am not familier with what exact drugs they test. Ironically a friend of mine used to get high off his meds and died of hypothermia in a snow bank years ago so I still don't see it as far fetched. Even if it wasn't drugs, drinking to the point of not realizing the temp and almost losing a toe to frostbite plus supplying minors and being suspended by the school isn't responsible for an athlete either way.

For Kristo, who had been disciplined for his own underage drinking as a freshman and lost games that year as a result, many stated that he should have known better. There was also a strange frostbite incident in Kristo’s sophomore season that cost him games, and what exactly happened that night has never been fully explained. It is these off-ice questions of maturity, that seem to be the biggest question marks surrounding Kristo at this point in time."

I'm not making stuff up. He was so high on whatever drug he was on that he didn't even know he was getting frostbite.
This is not a player I can cheer for. Before this season, Habs fans were writing him off because of this off-ice behavior.
Maybe I'd trade a 6th or 7th for him, but he's not worth much at all.

Sure thing Dr. Ashasz
He must also be magically circumventing the drug testing.
How do you feel about Theo Fleury?
Glad you aren't GM.

He was a college student.
Patrick Kane just won the conn smythe and is the biggest known party-guy in the NHL.

Newsflash Ashasx. There are a LOT more successful NHL players that dabble in all sorts of drugs than you think. A LOT more.

Fleury has more skill in his pinky finger than Kristo does in his entirety.
Drug testing is not as simple as you are making it out to seem. What drugs are they looking for? When and how often do they do the tests? How easily can it be faked?
Kristo is putting up big points in the NCAA, but he's not being hyped up for this very reason.

Yeah, there are certainly a number of them. But are you telling me you'd give up significant assets to acquire Kristo with these problems, knowing that he is at a disadvantage to become an NHLer because of it?

Yep don't really see this as an issue. There are plenty of parties at University and its part of the norm for most students. Also the underage drinking is not a big deal because the legal drinking age in the US is 21. I had a few friends go down to the US on sports scholarships and i can tell you they did not wait 3 years until the cracked their first beer.
Also even if he was high on drugs in the frostbite incident, that does not make it a "drug problem" like Ashasx suggested. It very well could be a one time incident of experimenting. Been there and done that.

Okay, got it. Only skilled players should do drugs.
So Sven can get hiiiiiigh.
But damn you Tim Jackman don't you think about touching one simple drug.

I think we will get more value for Cammy at the trade deadline. He is in a contract year so I don't think he will mail it in. If he puts up decent numbers, we could get a mid to late round first round pick and a prospect for him.
If Feaster should by unloading anyone it is Tanguay. Trade him to Montreal for our Second Round pick back and a prospect. It's time for the Flames to move on.

how is that an "OR" situation? Johansson is a young 40+ point centerman. Schultz is a slower than molasses defenseman who is barely an NHLer anymore.
