Moron on Global News claiming he saw people driving by "eyeing" his place last night and had to ignore the evacuation order to "protect his stuff."

Just back from the river at Memorial + 21st NW. The Bow has definitely dropped at least 18" from its high water mark this morning. It also looked like there was a lot less big trees / major debris in the river, but it was flowing faster.

19th St has much smaller pools on it, but the water table is a good 1-2' higher (surface level in storm drains).

Kensington was very busy going west to Crow since 14th St is closed...gotta be a 15minute wait to get on too Crow South.

Are vehicles getting in to Kensington, along kensington road between 14th and 10?

Saw a picture of some shop selling ice for 20 bucks a bag. If I saw a store do that I'd literally drop trou and poop on the floor in anger.

It definitely looked like it...I know 14th + Kensington had traffic through it. 10th looked like the lights were working, but couldn't see if there was traffic or not.

Medicine Hat: if you are caught watering your lawn or washing your car/exterior of a building, you are now subject to (up to) $2,500 in fines, effective immediately.

I am so glad that most people are above pettiness and know there is a time to put politics aside and come to together to help each other. That includes our political leaders, I don't agree with many of their policies, but I don't doubt their genuine desire to do whatever it takes to get this city back on its feet.

As for people saying the Stampede will be cancelled, not a chance. The people of Calgary will come together like never before and make it the best Stampede yet. Having lived away from Calgary for a number of years and now being back, this city has a spirit and resolve like nothing else I have seen.
