Bridge is now carrying all of the 16th ave traffic, the merge onto Stoney looks like the main bottleneck, and there may be a construction speed zone on the bridge as they are doing construction currently. Could be people gawking as they cross the bridge, but I don't recall that you can see much when you drive over the bridge, but I guess I've never tried.

I have no idea if this is related, but just saw two military helicopters flying into the airport. Looks like they were coming from a north direction, so I was wondering military from Edmonton coming to help?

Since becoming an annual event in 1923, the Stampede has never been cancelled. I doubt it will this year, as the flood waters should recede fairly quickly, but it seems pretty obvious any events at the Dome are toast, at the very least.
