Yeah, the time to do that is before you get a boil water advisory.

I wonder if the guy I saw kayaking on the Bow River weir just after 5:00 made it out. I saw all the rough water there and just had a feeling someone would be trying to do something like that.

Young man taking "disaster selfies" by the Bow says TD tower was just evacuated. #yyc #abflood

Are disaster selfies how Michael Hutchence died?

I'm way up in Coventry Hills but if anyone needs a (somewhat) pet friendly home to stay in - we've got room for a few - two beds in the basement available.

I say somewhat because we have a cat and dog so your pet needs to be friendly too.

Send me a PM if you need a place.

Calgary Police ‏@CalgaryPolice 4m
@Tab_Burchell Riverbend is on alert but not yet evacuating.

If you have twitter, @calgarypolice is probably the best account to follow for up to date information.

I got there minutes before the Police started driving back and forth on the paths kicking everyone out of the area. As I was walking away about half an hour later saw the big Police sway vehicle going down 4th street.

They are setting up something at Chinook Centre. Tons of cops and search and rescue crews congregating there. One Southbound Macleod Tr. lane was closed. Maybe a command post of some sort...?

Stores are looking pretty low on water here in cochrane. Jumping pound creek is a raging river. Voluntary evacuation of bow meadows and crawford ranch.
Anybody in Cochrane that needs higher ground?

Any idea on Sunalta? My fiancé works there but she's already asleep. Want to know if they are on evacuation watch so I can let her know she won't be going in tomorrow.
