My brothers place is a block away from the sunnyside ctrain station (on 8th street), do you think the flooding will make it that far? I know it is a bit higher there.

He is currently working in Cold Lake...

Between 7,000 and 10,000 people evacuated so far. Hard to know exact number as some are voluntarily leaving

the expected arrival time of all the debri in the Bow river from Canmore etc is 3am. It would be something if all the age old bridges remain undamaged and the Peace bridge doesn't.

Crews continue to build the berm on Elbow drive. 50 truck loads of dirt so far. The tamper is compacting the berm to increase strength.

Man that's crazy. No one saw this coming 24hrs ago. The crazy part, is that ####'s really gonna hit the fan once its dark outside. Craziness.

Our river (Lethbridge) is flowing a ruthless amount of water, but there's not much in the valley to be damaged by it. Police are ticketing people who get too close to the river.
