Any information would be appreciated!
Highway 93 up to Saskatchewan crossing just reopened so it looks like they cleared the mudslide there, so he could go north to Rocky mountain house then back towards Calgary.

RockyMountainOutlook ‏@rmoutlook 1h Highway 93 North from Lake Louise to Jasper has been reopened, according to Parks Canada.

Does anyone recall what flow rates and water level were in the Elbow in 2005?

This morning the water level was almost 4m and the flow rate was over 500m^3/s.

I imagine it's way above that now.

Just drove over bow going into cochrane and that sucker is high! It is a foot or two away from taking over the dog park. Luckily most houses are elevated and shouldn't be in any danger

Honestly, from Revelstoke there is no good way in to Alberta at the moment. The only way to go, as far as I can tell, would be to go west from Revelstoke to Highway 5, north to highway 16 and then east on highway 16 to Edmonton and then south on highway 2. This would take a very long time.

I really hope your dad is okay! Let us know when you hear from him.

So what does this mean for the Glenmore Dam? Floodgates wide open and water spilling over the top?

And I don't imagine Banff or Canmore want any more people in the town than they already have - they must be cram packed right now, with the road closed.
Highway 1 is closed between Banff and Canmore according to Alberta 511.

His cat Momo, it says. Given that they got the cat's name I assume he at least made it.

Well, I know they were worried about losing the dam in 2005. I'm sure there is some concern now as well.

Thanks, but I dont think driving anywhere tonight is a good idea. They say the neighbourhood will be off limits as soon as they get everyone out.

I have all our photos and stuff out of the basement, then started on the electronics. Next will be the Firefly TV DVDs (yes two copies) then The Serenity DVD, The extended Serenity DVD, etc. You know the valuables.

Looks like High River is in the most need, if you are up to it.

I wonder if 3x as bad affects those of us a half block south of the river in

100k has to be one of the largest evacuations in Alberta, I'd imagine. They've got to get Douglasdale, Riverbend et al for it to get to 100k
