Not good for the Flames. Will be in the same division next season, and this guy seems to have overtaken Cooke in the dirty plays/attempt to injure department. Hope he gets a lifetime suspension for his next big infraction.

To be honest, I think due to his previous reputation he has been getting overly-punished his last 2 suspensions. Guy used to take deliberate cheap shots but has cleaned up his game quite a bit lately, a la Matt Cooke. He's a sandpaper guy that is useful when playing a hard hitting, grinder type game. His recent hits have been no worse than Kronwall's, but since he plays for the Wings, it never gets a 2nd look.

I used to be a big Torres hater but just like Cooke, he changed his ways. His most recent suspension was pure garbage and not worthy of a whole round

3 years is a little long, but he is a UFA and prove to be a good fit on the Sharks. I don't think Torres is as dirty of a player as some make him out to be. He constantly looked for the big hit and as a result a lot of those hits end up being questionable hits rather than clear headshots. Even on the Hossa hit, Torres left his skates but he pretty much just threw himself at Hossa rather than delivering a deliberate elbow or even shoulder to the head.
