No, pretty sure he was on the wing.

This is why players like Nemisz and Irving need to be cut loose and not qualified/offered contracts. We have more dead weight than any team in the league.

Good god, stop talking you are making my head hurt.

Their contracts end July 5th, you can't just "cut them loose."

On July 5th there are 22 contracts expiring and postentially 2 more retiring (I think Sarich & Kiprusoff could both retire). 9 players become UFAs with the only possible returning player being McGrattan IMO and then 13 RFAs. Even if every RFA is qualified (which they won't), they will have alot of free spaces for contracts.

Sounds to me like Knight, Bouma and Reinhart will be battling for the bottom six centre spots.
Horak works best on the wing. He and Knight have the potential to form the basis for a young, quick shutdown line.

Reinhart, Bouma, Knight, Jones & possibly Nemisz will be fighting for bottom 6 roles. Good to have competition!

Feaster has already said he'll qualify Nemisz. He shouldn't.

Don't get to say this a lot...... Good work Feaster!!!

4th is not to high for a guy that might be able to play this year.

I have a terrible feeling that Feaster may be shopping Backlund. I hope he doesn't trade him, but I feel that any significant trade to acquire solid young talent is going to involve Backs...

Also remember, Nemisz has been converted to RW which we're really thin on prospect wise.

I don't mind keeping him around in hopes he can develop into a 4th/3rd liner.

I don't hope for any of them, I want to see the best players in the lineup. At the end of the day the better players will earn their spots. If Knight comes in and plays better than Reinhart then that's too bad for Reinhart, but the Flames got better. Too much depth is never a bad thing.

Good move to add to the prospect base.

Tanguay - Stajan - Cammalleri
Baertschi - Backlund - Hudler
Stempniak - Knight - Horak
Jackman - Bouma - Mcgrattan

Is what we're currently looking at. Definitely need to offload 1-2 more aging vets. Making room for Reinhart will be tough.. Even more so if we draft a centerman at #6 that they feel can slot in next season as well.

Torie Peterson ‏@ToriePeterson 9m More NCAA randomness: UND went 33-4-6 when Knight scored a goal, he is UND's 1st player w/ 3 straight 40-point seasons since Oshie & Duncan.

Fair enough. I thought there was a signing window for Knight, but perhaps I was wrong. sureloss points us in the right direction......the Flames are at 50 contracts until July 5th.

HF forums have this tweet where some guy was saying how the Canucks are easiest team to hate in the league.

Knight responded by saying "No, two words. Calgary Flames"
