Hockey News had him ranked 8th (or something like that) so it's not like the Flames were reaching.

I think there is a big difference between playing on this team and competing for a position.

I think it's a fine location. A redraft right now might have him anywhere from 5-9.

He's a country boy that legitimately wants to stay here. He didn't sacrifice salary for that NMC for nothing. He's very, very happy playing in Calgary.

I would be shocked if Glencross got traded, given his hometown discount and desire to play in Calgary. Maybe in a couple years when he's approaching the end of his contract he would consider going to a contender

He notes C, RW, and RD as positions of weakness for the organization.

Awesome, Center and RW and RHD are key to the Flames. I have very high hopes for Zykov/Hartman and Lindholm. outside of Jones who is the next best RHD?

Probably Ristolainen followed by Pulock.

What about Left Defence, Right Defence and Goaltending?

Ristolainen, Pulock and Bowey all RHD. Could see one go 22.

I don't know if that's really what he meant. Was talking about not limiting themselves to a certain kind of player. Just sounds like he was saying they're picking from their list.

So were gonna use the 6th overall to pick the 13th ranked this year?

Feaster said 1-6 is pretty much locked and they have a very good idea who's going where and what they will end up with.

Anyway, it really sounds like the target is Barkov with Monahan being the consolation prize.
