Celebrated Square Root Day

Out of curiosity, did you get the name "witty nickname", from CP's wittynickname, or is that just a coincidence?

Pure coincidence. I've had it elsewhere as well.

To be fair that was the intention. For the first couple years I was all over the map, heavy processing, little processing just trying to learn as much as I could .
Learned a lot but I'm certainly no fan of that style. I've actually been considering taking a lot of the earlier photos down.
I've been meaning to get back out to those red barns they are a great photo spot.

Assuming you kept the originals, you could always re-process them. (That's something I expect I will have to do some day, yet hope to avoid mostly by putting off my first attempt at processing).

Yes, I know it's always fun to push the envelope in post. I'm just not a big HDR guy (as almost everyone in this thread is aware). To each their own.
It's almost like a before and after shot. I wish those old barns were actually that red.
I live pretty close to those barns and would like to head down in the evening with some powerful lights and light them up during the blue hour.

I just bought a nikon D3200 it came with the 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm telephoto lense. I'm new at DSLR and hopefully will be able to take photo's using the manual settings and really enjoy using the camera to its potential. So far on a bright sunny day with the iso at 800 i'm able to take sharp pictures. Hopefully i'll be able to post some of my pictures here soon. Going camping at kimberly the end of this month and then vegas trip. I hope by that time i'll be able to take awesome shots.

Unless you're trying to freeze motion or get an insane depth of field, you shouldn't be shooting at ISO 800 on a bright sunny day. Turn that down to 100!
