Millard also makes it sound as awkward as possible that they have to cater to the west as well. Every time I hear him say "and on the fan960....in....calcoughcoughgary" He winces like a stomach tumor just ate his lining. I at least expect that out of Mclean and Kypres as Millard tries to not crap on the Flames or at least bring them into a conversation once in a while but it's clear they all hate it as much as some of you guys do.

Rome, on holiday again. And the show is better right away.

I was just listening to the fan, and noticed Ryan Pinder was hosting the first hour. I imagine he's just filling in for someone on holidays, but good for him. Is he still going to be calling the Heat games next season, or is this fill in job mean he's moving to the fan on a more regular basis now?

Pinder said on the show today that he won't be back in Abbotsford.

If he's on the fan full time he better get rid of the Oilers love. They guy was gushing about the Eakins hire and all the talent the Oilers have. Like we haven't heard that enough over the past three years.

Wtf just happened on fan960, lol?!

The theme from Beverly Hills Cop started playing over Hockey Central's broadcast, and then some guy starting singing/humming along with the beats, then a guy jumps on and says "wtf are you doing?!" before it went silent again.

Hilarious, lol.

I heard it too.
I usually listen at noon and the amount of scewups is amazing. On Monday they aired the first 20 minutes of Hockey Central twice in a row.

And what's with all the glitches during HC@12? There's this constant glitchy-sounding hiccup noise every few seconds whenever I listen to that show online. Does anybody else get this or is it because I'm streaming through headphones? It's only present during that show.

Rome just talked about 960 dropping his 3rd hour. Was fairly gracious about it compared to the past- just asked listeners to email 960 to ask for the 3rd hour back.

I do think it will be a little ridiculous to lose the 3rd hour of the smack off tomorrow- will be plenty of radio stations streaming online though.

I used to hate Rome, but since I like having background noise in the mornings while doing work, I've been subjected to his show for a couple years, and do find some entertaining bits in it. I just hate that he assumes most if not all of his audience either doesn't care for or hates hockey, and he tends to treat the subject that way. He only started getting into it more on a personal level when the Kings began their recent playoff success. The constant repetitions of his audio bits can be pretty dull and irritating at times, though.

But any talk show that is more relevant to sports and interests of people north of the border gets my vote any day. The NBA playoffs are drool compared to the quality of hockey we're getting.

Sorry for the ignorance as I can't stand Jim Rome, but what exactly is the Smack Off? Is it random callers going at it, and Jim picks the best ones?

Ryan Leslie just won't stop talking, saying the same thing over, and over again.

They DESPERATELY need more guests or insiders or what frikkin' ever in the afternoon.

I think Leslie would be fine if he didn't have to fill so much air time and Steinberg is brutal at filling air.....painful even.
