				 Downtown SanFran for Tmw Hotel

			Good day all!
So, between our wedding and everything else, we never got around to booking our hotel for our honnymoon, flying out tmw.

It seems that for downtown San Francisco, even a best western is about $250 plus tax per night.

I had assumed I could just priceline something, but it is failing me.

 I have tried booking.com, priceline, hotels.com, hotwire...

 any tips?

 Thank you

Just priceline bid on 4 stars in the area you're looking for. You might have to delete your cookies if you bid too low multiple times.

Thank you for the suggestion though!

Just got back - I stayed at the Hotel Monaco in union square - awesome place, fully recommend it.

hotwire.com is usually the way that I find the best prices, but I'm not seeing any good deals for 4 star hotels right now. If you're willing to go with a 3 star, you can get a room for $161/night.

ya SF, hotels are usually expensive downtown, and always more than Van. You are nearing primetime for hotels in SF, AND looking for a rez on short notice. If it makes you feel better its one of the best downtowns on earth to visit for a couple of days.

Have you thought about staying in Berkeley and just take a BART over to SF? (20 min train?)

Much cheaper, food is way better at a way better price. Very young and fun atmosphere.

I'd rather stay in rooms than hotels anyways since I'll be out on the town all day.VRBO or airbnb. There are rooms for less than $100.

 Of course I'm low-maintenance.
