Him being named as the best defensive defenceman in the QMJHL means nothing?

That is how your powerplay looks in overtime? Terrible.

Bruins were exhausted to the point of mental fatigue.

I think it's how most powerplays look. The powerplay conversion rate in the playoffs in general has been dismal.

Just checking in, I watched the first 10 minutes and got to watch all of overtime.

Did Iggy do something in this game? In all of overtime he played 4 on 4, the powerplay and 1 even strength shift. Did something happen that I missed?

not surprising, they are exhausted

game more likely to end on an error, which is more likely in 5 on 5

Well it does put him in elite company with the likes of Nathan Saunders, Olivier Magnan and Mathieu Bolduc.

So, no it means nothing.

I think it's more that they were so dominant 5 on 5 you can't tell the difference. Did the pens set up once in the last 5 minutes of that period?

Not talking about the conversion rate. Boston couldn't really create anything at all.

lol, it obviously means he's much better than you're giving him credit for. He might not be Chara caliber, but usually he's above average defensively. The whole team is playing like crap this series, not just him.

I'm not talking about just this series. I'm also not talking about what he did in juniors seven years ago. Letang is below average in his own end. Him and Subban being nominated for the Norris this year is equal to Phaneuf in 2006.

Due to offence not defense.

True. I think diane_phaneuf nailed it. When penalty killing, teams can hunker down and not make mistakes and turnovers. The winning goal will probably come from a mistake 5 on 5 when players are less defensively-aware.
